PRESS RELEASE: Leading brands commit to gardiente in the corona year 2021

Frankfurt am Main, March 2021: Contingent on the current pandemic and following an industry-wide dialogue, brands such as 4 Seasons, dekoVries, Karasek, Sieger, Solpuri, Stern, Schaffner and Zebra are planning to present their products to the specialist trade at this year’s gardiente.

 Jens Frey, Managing Director of event organiser MUVEO GmbH, sees the clear focus of the trade fair as one of the reasons for this broad and positive response: “What has always distinguished gardiente from other events is its ‘small but quality’ character which is widely appreciated throughout the sector. This can be a huge advantage for us in our role as organiser, especially in the current situation. That is why we haven’t set our sights on becoming more international again this year. We primarily want to provide a home and business hub for the German retail trade and customers from neighbouring countries such as Austria and Switzerland. This will give them the opportunity to prepare as best as possible for the next season together with manufacturers and suppliers.”

To achieve this objective, gardiente will feature a high-end brand portfolio along with maximum safety for both exhibitors and visitors: “We are, of course, keeping a close eye on current developments. We have also drawn up a pandemic-specific exhibition format, which was devised during an industry workshop. The other trade fairs we staged in 2020 mean that we already have a considerable amount of experience in this field as well as a tried-and-trusted safety and hygiene concept. We are, therefore, well equipped to provide all our participants with a safe and successful trade fair,” Jens Frey continued.

The organiser is committed to ensuring that a transparent and open dialogue takes place with all stakeholders throughout the planning phase: “As an industry partner, we’re accustomed to taking decisions – such as changes to gardiente’s strategy or new dates – in partnership with the sector. In times such as these, this is the only way for us to survive and position ourselves on the market in the long term. We’re determined to continue offering the industry a targeted and needs-based platform and to remain THE go-to format for the specialist trade,” Frey explained.

As far as circumstances allow, the special areas and community events such as “gardiente night” and gardiente “BBQ-World”, featuring demonstrations and tasting sessions, will once again be an integral part of the exhibition concept. gardiente will also shine a light on current topics such as sustainability and digitalisation.
